Tortilla Tuesday

Tomorrow my family and I will be eating tortillas, beans and rice, a staple food in Central America. Most of the poor eat this every single day and are happy to have it.  This is a great way to educate your children on what other children eat in our neighboring countries and to also remind them of how blessed they are with the variety of food they have to choose from. If you really want to be daring why not eat beans and rice for a whole week!
I will be posting different topics and links this week on Central America and the Missionaries there that are making a big difference! So go on get your camera's out and take pictures of your Tortilla Tuesday!
Post them on facebook.  Tell how the experience changed you.  What did your kids have to say Make a video and post it on my blog, I would love to see it! Go here on more Tortilla Tuesday information: http://buildingtheblocks.blogspot.com/2011/03/cool-beans-with-tortillas.html

A blog about not blogging, per say...

Ok, so I am a horrible blogger. I thought this would be so much fun when I started. I realized after several blogs that I might not be cut out for this. I mean in order to really be an effective blogger you must commit to writing, thinking, and downloading/uploading pictures; oh and not to mention you need to be able to be creative and somewhat savy..you know, all the things that go along with blogging.  With that being said, I have to admit all my creative energies are spent on my husband, three little girls, home schooling, cooking, cleaning, sewing, reading, bike riding and sleeping. Yes, sleeping...it's very important you know? By the time I get to the computer to possibly write something down, to be quite honest I am tired and don't have the energy or the wit to entertain an audience. I look at other ppls blogs that have children and I start to feel so inadequate. Seriously how do they do it? I admire Pioneer Woman and all those that can run a household of several children, homeschool, AND blog. It's awesome. It's just not for me(at least right now). I can't compare myself to the super moms I admire. Ok, so back to being a bad blogger. So I have come up with an efficient idea. I have decided to have a wordless blog, at least for now. Ok, ok so not totally wordless because if that were so you wouldn't be reading this right now. I want to take a picture everyday of something that inspires me or grabs my attention. Maybe it will inspire you too. It's only right that I give a disclaimer here at the end of my blog about not blogging...hehe. All the pictures you see will not necessarily be happy ones. I hope that what ever it is will evoke emotions that move you to action, make you think, possibly even create a conversation between you and God. If anyone has questions about a picture please leave a comment, I would be happy to reply with another picture explaining what that picture is about.  No just kidding, you will get a reply with real live words mostly made up from the Alphabet. Sooooooo, without delay I will post my first picture.
